Robotic vacuum cleaners are good at depicting the floor in your house that many of us need when we live in a ranch home or apartment, but what about the rest of us that have multiple floors?
Well, Neato Robotics has covered that Connected now thanks to a software update to the Botvac D7. This is Neato’s most powerful robot vacuum.
The Botvac D7 just got an upgrade
The update enables the robot to create vacuum cards for up to three floors via the Neato app. After that, you can also use “no-go” lines to tell where to avoid cleaning on these floors. Of course, this doesn’t magically transport your robot friend from floor to floor. You’ll have to carry it up the stairs. Still, it’s nice to know that it has covered all of your floors now.
And since the Neato Botvac is now connected has more floors in the repertoire, adding up to more work will make Neato sale stand-alone charging points more convenient. You can have one on each floor if you want. Or two on the first floor. This beats what other robot vacuum cleaners offer .
The additional charging station is a good idea as this update also brings another major innovation. One that helps the robot handle larger cleaning jobs. The quick-boost charging function allows the bot to calculate the current they need to complete the current order and know if they need to return to their charging station for more juice.
Neato performs multiple soil mapping.
This update gives the D7 a boost
So if you have a larger room, this little helper won’t lose steam in the middle of a job.
The idea is that it can return to the charging station, round it off and then go back to work without fuss. These new features and capabilities are part of software update 4.2.0 and Neato app version 2.6.0. Users will receive a notification via the Neato app to download and install it.
There is no doubt this robot vacuum is now doing it all. Well, maybe it can’t do everything. I mean, it’s not a vacuum and mop, but it’s much more capable now .
